Beloved, Good Friday evening,
I pray that this note finds you well, and that you have had a productive and profitable week.
We started our 40 days of consecration on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 and it has been a powerful week of prayer and fasting. The prayer line has been awesome! God has really blessed us this week in prayer and with the devotion from the word.
Let me take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support on last Sunday in celebration of “Black History Month.” Last Sunday we had an awesome time in worship and fellowship. Many of you brought more than enough food for a great time of fellowship. I want to personally thank each of you for being a blessing on last Sunday in recognition of Deacon Mitchell, Rev. Kemp and Sister Ora Chester.
Tomorrow morning, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. we will meet in the fellowship hall with our Leadership Council for training. All our leaders are asked to attend and be on time.
Again, I am encouraging the entire church to join with me on Wednesday night for the “Emotional Healthy Spiritually” Small Groups. We had a good response on this past Wednesday and we will continue with session 2 this coming Wednesday night.
“First Fruit Giving” Sunday, March 12, 2017. I trust that you have been praying and asking God to reveal to you your sacrificial gift to give on First Fruit Sunday.
In preparation for the Word and Worship on Sunday please come praying for an anointed worship experience as Bishop Gideon “Gilbert” Thompson brings the word to us on Sunday morning.
As is the case every week, we have many in our church family who are under the care of the Great Physician and others who are walking through a season of sorrow, let us pray for all of them.
Please be in prayer for mother Gladys Whaley and Bertha Kemp in the hospital. We are praying a special prayer of healing for Mother Dorothy Walker, Leigh Ann Reid and Sister Andrea Moore. Pray for our seniors, Deacon Earl Newsome, Lillian Bludsaw, Margaret Brookins, Alton Kemp, Denna Pace, Shirley Sledge, Pastor Mitchell Bettis and pray for each other.
In closing know that I love you and pray for you and that I am glad to be your pastor
