Beloved, Good Afternoon,
I pray that this note finds you well, that you have had a safe and productive week and that you are praying with me for a great move of God this weekend as we gather for worship.
Today, I am asking you to join me in praying for those families in our church who have lost loved ones and need our prayers. Pray for Bro. Roscoe Green family, Rev. Devon Alexis family and Rev. Michael Russell family and all others in the season of sorrow. Pastor Alexis had to travel back home to bury another family member this week.
Pray for our sick and shut-in who are depending on our prayers. Pray for Evelyn Gyden, Thelma Horton, Bertha Kemp and Evelyn Laster they are in the hospital. Pray for our seniors and those who are at home Mother Lee Dessie Burney, Lottie Hamilton, Gladys Whaley, Shirley Sledge, Edith Castro, Hilrie Kemp and Ralph Underwood.
Today, is one year ago Rev. Alan Horne went home to be with the Lord. He played golf all week and then took a flight to Baltimore, Maryland to see his godmother and it was there he went home to be with the Lord. His birthday was this past Wednesday as I thought about him and what he meant to me and our church.
I want to remind all of you about our clean-up next week, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. Please plan now to come and spend some time cleaning our church building.
In preparation for the preached word let me encourage you to read Proverbs 6:6-8 as we discover yet another leg on the journey to “Greater.” We are continuing our series on “Do These 7.” This Sunday I’m continuing part 2 from the topic “Act Like An Ant.”
In closing know that I love you, pray for you and that I am glad to be:
