Beloved Good Evening,
I pray that this note finds you well and that you are anticipating a tremendous weekend.
I wanted to take a moment to say a BIG THANK YOU, to each member who so graciously and generously supported the 35th pastoral anniversary this past week. From the beginning of April to last Sunday you showed my family and I such love and for that I am grateful.
To the Committee who worked so hard, to our staff and to our Deacons and all the ministries allow me to say thank you for your love and support. You really blessed us and made us feel very special. You are a loving and a great church! We were blessed last Sunday with powerful worship and word from our choir and worship ministry and from Bishop Timothy J. Clarke, God be praised for such a powerful time of celebration.
This has indeed been a challenging week for our church and some of our families members yet we can say that God is faithful and is seeing us through it. This week has seen the passing of several of our family members and we are in prayer for their families and while we mourn their leaving us we rejoice in their victory and triumph.
Sister Leslie Berrien mother passed on Thursday morning and I’m asking you to keep her and the family in prayer. The funeral service will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11AM in Dade City, Florida. Sister Elaine Ramsey father-in-law passed also on Thursday. Please keep Sister Elaine and Jerome in prayer during this very difficult time. The Windham also are going through a period of grief and loss. Let us keep all these families in our prayers.
Of course we are praying for situations in Baltimore and Nepal and all those impacted by events in these places. Many lives have been loss in Nepal by the earthquake. It has been estimated that as many as 15,000 people are dead in Nepal. Pray for Nepal and the families of such devastation.
Please be in prayer for Vannessa Waddel, Brianna Berrien, Deanna Pace and Richard, Rujel Buggs, TruShielda Hankerson and Brenda Burney. Continue to pray for Charlotte Coffe, Kenneth Eubanks, Bertha Kemp, Hilrie Kemp, Janet Jarvis, Ralph Underwood, Amber Whaley, Dr. Charles Booth, Pastor Bob Mclure and all our seniors and sick and shut-in.
In preparation for the word this weekend let me encourage you to read John 21 as we begin a new series entitled “Growing In the Gap.”
On a lighter note tomorrow, several of our members are graduating from Warner University at 9:00 a.m. Ashely Stubbins, Marlon Scott, Norma Hicks, and Julian Jackson will graduate from Warner. Let us pray for them and celebrate with them. Warner University 13895 U.S. HWY 27, Lake Wales, Florida 33859. Also, Jevon Lue graduated today from Hillsborough Community College and we are proud of him.
Don’t forget Leadership Meeting as been rescheduled for Sunday morning, May 3, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. Please plan on attending the meeting.
In closing know that I love you, pray for you and that I am proud to be:
